About NewOldCar

Real cars, real kilometres, real fixes.

NewOldCar started in 2020 with a simple idea: the most interesting cars aren't the brand-new ones on a dealer lot — they're the high-mileage survivors, the project wagons, and the oddballs that still show up every morning. We document what it actually takes to keep them there.

What you'll find here

Why "New Old Car"

Because that's the whole point. With the right maintenance and a bit of patience, an old car can feel new — and it's almost always cheaper, simpler, and more satisfying than signing for something fresh off the truck. Every project we take on proves it: the 25-year-old Volvo that got its interior back, the Jetta that hit 200,000 km and kept going, the junkyard wing that transformed a wagon for pocket change.

No fluff

If a fix takes two minutes, the video is two minutes. If it's a nightmare, you'll see that too.

Real ownership

We drive what we wrench on — daily. Every repair on this site happened on a car someone actually depends on.

Budget-minded

Junkyard parts, DIY torque specs, and the honest math on when repairing beats replacing.

Work with us

We partner with brands whose products we'd genuinely use on our own vehicles — dash cams, tools, parts, and accessories that fit the channel's DIY spirit. If that sounds like your company, head over to our contact page and tell us what you have in mind.
